About us

A certification body, not a training company.

We assess practice. We do not sell the course that prepares you for our own examination, because a body that grades its own students has an obvious problem.

Where we stand

Project management has no shortage of certificates. It has a shortage of certificates that mean anything — because most are issued for attending a course rather than for demonstrating that you can do the work.

PM Practitioner exists to close that gap. Every credential we issue is earned by passing a proctored examination written around real delivery decisions: what you cut when the date will not move, how you re-plan around a dependency that slipped, how you defend an estimate nobody wants to hear.

We are deliberately separate from training. You can prepare however suits you — a course, a book, or the last five years of your working life. We assess the outcome, not the route.

What we hold to

Four principles that shape how we assess.

These are not values on a wall. Each one changes something concrete about how our examinations are written and how our credentials behave.

01

Assessed, never attended

A credential is issued on an examination result and nothing else. There is no attendance route, no portfolio submission, and no way to buy a pass. If you hold one of our certifications, you sat the paper.

02

Verifiable without us

Every credential carries an ID that resolves on a public register, and a digital badge hosted by an independent badging platform. An employer can check both without contacting us, and without taking our word for anything.

03

Written by practitioners

Examination questions are drawn from situations that actually occur on live delivery, not from a glossary. Where a question has more than one defensible answer, we say so and assess the reasoning.

04

Expiry is honest

Credentials last two years and the expiry date is printed on the certificate and shown on the public record. A lapsed credential is visibly lapsed rather than quietly presented as current.

Where the line sits

What we do, and what we deliberately do not.

Most of the criticism levelled at certification bodies comes from the same place: an organisation that trains, assesses and accredits itself. We have drawn the line differently, and it costs us revenue.

What we do

  • Write and maintain the examinations
  • Assess candidates by proctored paper
  • Issue credentials on the result alone
  • Publish the assessment domains and weightings
  • Operate the public verification register
  • Revoke credentials obtained improperly

What we do not

  • Sell preparation courses for our own papers
  • Charge providers to be an approved trainer
  • Give anyone access to the question bank
  • Offer an attendance route to a credential
  • Adapt a paper by region, employer or fee paid
  • Charge a maintenance fee to keep a credential live
How examinations are run

Proctored, online, and the same paper for everyone.

Examinations are delivered online and monitored by a live proctor alongside automated integrity checks. You book a slot after enrolling and sit it from home or your workplace.

There is one paper per certification. It is not adapted by region, by employer, or by what you paid — the credential means the same thing regardless of who holds it.

What is included
  • One proctored examination attempt with your enrolment
  • A result breakdown by assessment domain, pass or fail
  • A certificate carrying a credential ID and verification QR code
  • A digital badge for LinkedIn, a CV or an email signature
  • A public register entry from the moment the credential is issued
  • A documented retake route at a reduced fee
