01

Who we are

PM Practitioner is a certification body. We assess project, programme and portfolio management practice by proctored examination and issue credentials on the result of that examination. We are not a training provider and do not sell preparation courses for our own papers.

These terms govern your use of pmpractitioner.org and any certification you enrol in through it. By enrolling, you accept them.

02

Enrolment

Enrolment gives you one attempt at the examination for the certification you selected, and, on passing, a certificate and a digital badge.

You may enrol by card payment or by redeeming a voucher code issued to you by an employer or partner. Voucher redemption requires an account, because the credential has to be attached to a person.

  • The name on your enrolment is the name printed on the certificate
  • Enrolments are individual and cannot be transferred to another person
  • An enrolment remains valid for twelve months from purchase
03

Examinations

Examinations are delivered online and monitored by a live proctor alongside automated integrity checks. You book your slot after enrolling.

You must present photo identification matching your enrolment name, sit the paper alone in a room you will not be interrupted in, and keep your camera on throughout.

Results are issued on completion with a breakdown by assessment domain. If you do not pass, a retake may be booked from your dashboard at a reduced fee.

04

Examination conduct

The following end an examination immediately and void the enrolment without refund:

  • Another person present in the room, or assisting in any way
  • Notes, a second screen, or any reference material
  • Recording, photographing or reproducing examination content
  • Presenting identification that is not your own

Where we have grounds to believe a credential was obtained improperly, we will revoke it. A revoked credential shows as revoked on the public register.

05

Credentials and validity

Credentials are valid for two years from the date of issue. The expiry date is printed on the certificate and shown on the public verification record, so a lapsed credential is visibly lapsed.

We may suspend or revoke a credential where it was obtained improperly, where it is being misrepresented, or where required by law. Suspension and revocation are both reflected on the public record.

06

Refunds

An enrolment may be refunded in full within fourteen days of purchase, provided the examination has not been booked or sat.

Once an examination has been sat, no refund is available regardless of the result — the enrolment purchased the assessment, not a particular outcome.

Where an examination could not proceed for a reason on our side, we will rebook it at no charge or refund in full, whichever you prefer.

07

Your account

You are responsible for the security of your account and for anything done through it. Tell us promptly if you believe it has been accessed by someone else.

You may close your account at any time. Issued credentials remain on the public register after closure, because employers rely on that record continuing to resolve.

08

Liability

We provide assessment and credentialing. We do not guarantee any employment outcome, salary, or recognition by any particular employer or jurisdiction.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

09

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Where a change materially affects candidates who have already enrolled, we will notify those candidates by email.

Questions about any of this can go to our contact page.
